Twenty years on from winning the Danny Kyle Open Stage Awardat Celtic Connections, Breabach remain securely ranked amongst Scotland’s mostskilled and imaginative contemporary folk acts and at the forefront of aburgeoning traditional music scene. The band unite deep roots in Highland andIsland Gaelic tradition with progressive musical influences and have cultivateda unique sound, anchoring double bagpipes, fiddle, step dance and vocals withenergetic double bass and guitar accompaniment. This celebratory year will bemarked by revisiting some of their favourite venues and festivals across theUK, Europe and beyond.
Their journey continues to evolve with each passing year,taking influence from the many artists within Scotland’s eclectic music scenebut also exploring further afield and building long-lasting friendships withmusicians and tradition bearers from around the world.
